Redesigned Sitecore Site Enables Faster Customer Communication

DMC Global offers differentiated products and services to niche segments of the energy, industrial, and building products markets. Its portfolio includes Arcadia—Architectural Building Products, DynaEnergetics—Well Completion Solutions, and NobelClad—Composite Metal Solutions.

Oshyn rebuilt a redesigned DMC Global website using Sitecore and the SXA toolset to improve speed to market, communicate with customers, and deliver enhanced functionality and content.

The Challenge

After acquiring the Arcadia brand, DMC Global wanted the user experience and design across its entire portfolio of websites to align with its brand guidelines.

With a new design, they could launch new experiences faster, improving the user experience and attracting more customers. DMC Global could also provide much-needed maintenance to enhance the internal user experience and address performance bugs on the other sites in its portfolio.

DMC Global needed assistance from an agency with deep Sitecore and .NET expertise to address these issues, and Oshyn was the right team for the job.

The Solution

Oshyn established an iterative process involving the DMC Global marketing team and design agency Brink Interactive to ensure that every aspect of the project remained on track and any issues could be quickly resolved.

Oshyn created multiple reusable components using Sitecore Experience Accelerator (SXA) to improve ease of editing and ensure consistency across the multiple websites under the DMC Global brand. In addition, the marketing team could release new content faster without developer dependency and provide an engaging experience across various devices.

As part of the redesign, Oshyn also provided support for multiple languages so that the NobelClad brand could reach customers in the European markets and integrated Sitecore with an e-commerce platform to allow the DMC Global brand to sell its products and services online.

Oshyn also built an Azure pipeline that would allow them to deploy a quality assurance environment to conduct testing before deploying new features to production. This would ensure no mistakes occurred when releasing new functionality and provide the added reassurance of rollbacks if required.

The Outcome

Thanks to Oshyn's assistance, DMC Global promptly launched its newly redesigned website. With a mobile-friendly modern platform, they were able to appeal to a larger global customer base and increase traffic by 20%, allowing them to generate more digital sales while providing a consistent experience across the entire portfolio.
