An AEM Technical Audit provided more than 40 recommendations to improve Fairstone’s website performance, security, and stability.
The Challenge
The lender was experiencing a drop in site performance and was concerned about what the issues on their website would mean for business scalability and their ability to continue building their marketing programs.
They wanted to conduct an Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) technical assessment to objectively evaluate what might be causing these performance deficiencies and the steps to take to rectify any issues. This would allow them to implement new marketing initiatives including customer experience optimization and personalization that would drive more revenue.
Fairstone Financial contacted Oshyn to conduct the AEM technical assessment and ensure a solid foundation for their marketing initiatives.
The Solution
Oshyn was selected due to extensive experience working with financial institutions and their AEM expertise. They conducted a technical audit on Fairstone’s Adobe Experience Cloud stack to check that the process followed implementation best practices and to get to the root cause of performance issues.
The comprehensive audit spanned the front and back end of the Fairstone website and various Adobe configurations, content structure, and integrations with other products, including Google Analytics (GA4) and Adobe Target. As these areas were mission-critical to Fairstone’s website and marketing initiatives, Oshyn identified the problems affecting page loading speeds, SEO rankings, and the overall user experience.
Additionally, Oshyn used automated code scanning tools to identify security weaknesses, misconfigurations, and potential attack vectors. This was also essential for a financial institution like Fairstone as any security breaches could harm their reputation and customer trust, place them under regulatory scrutiny, and cause severe economic losses.
The Outcome
Oshyn completed the technical audit of the Fairstone system and delivered a performance checklist with over 40 major recommendations along with hundreds of sub-recommendations prioritized across four major categories separated into short, medium and long term remediations. Oshyn immediately implemented the highest priority recommendations, which led to improved scalability, performance, and reliability of the AEM platform that powered the Fairstone website. A roadmap has been created that balances importance of fixes along with time and budget to address the remaining performance issues.
